These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from VisualBloom.
By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms below.
About Us
Visual Bloom is a UK-based sole trader business creating visual communication and everyday support resources for home, educational and supported settings.
Products
VisualBloom provides visual communication and everyday support resources, including communication folders, visual schedules, choice boards, ALD/topic boards, learning and reference resources, Rapid Access Portables and related products.
Our resources are designed to support communication, understanding, routines and everyday activities. They are not toys and are not intended to replace professional advice, assessment or therapy.
Product descriptions, options and specifications are provided on the relevant product pages. Please check these carefully before ordering.
Product Content & Layout Options
Some VisualBloom products are available in different layout options, including Essential (12 cell), Broad (20 cell), and Robust (32 cell). These options describe the number of cells within the selected layout and are not intended to represent age, ability, developmental stage or level.
Communication Folder pages, ALD/Topic Boards and Learning & Reference Boards are designed using consistent grid sizes and layouts. Vocabulary and content are selected according to what is relevant and useful to the particular topic or purpose of the resource.
Where a topic does not require the full number of symbols available within the selected grid, one or more cells may intentionally be left empty rather than changing the grid size or adding unnecessary content. These intentional empty cells form part of the product design and do not indicate that a product is incomplete, that a symbol is missing or that the product has been supplied incorrectly.
Communication Folder topics contain at least one topic page and may extend across two pages where additional relevant vocabulary is included. The number of available cells therefore represents the maximum capacity of the selected layout and does not guarantee that every cell will contain a symbol.
Where products, symbols or components are described as compatible with other VisualBloom resources, compatibility applies only to the products or components specifically identified as compatible in the relevant product description.
Orders & Payment
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance by VisualBloom.
Prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (£). Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before payment is completed.
Payment must be made in full through the payment methods available at checkout.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where we are unable to fulfil it, where incorrect pricing or product information has been displayed, or where fraudulent or unlawful activity is reasonably suspected.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, any amount due back to you will be refunded.
Custom & Personalised OrdersSome VisualBloom products can be customised or personalised using information or selections provided by the customer.
Customers are responsible for checking names, wording, photographs, symbol selections and other personalisation details supplied when ordering.
Products made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised may not be eligible for cancellation or change-of-mind returns. This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of UK consumer law.
Delivery
Processing times, delivery charges, delivery methods and local collection arrangements are set out in our Delivery Information.
Current estimated processing times are 3-5 working days for standard products and 7-10 working days for personalised or custom products.
Processing time is separate from the time taken by the delivery service after dispatch.
Delivery dates are estimates unless expressively stated otherwise.
Returns, Refunds & Faults
Our Refunds & Returns Policy explains cancellation rights, change-of-mind returns, personalised products, faulty or damaged goods and refunds.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions or our other policies limits or excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Intellectual Property & Licensing
Unless otherwise stated, original VisualBloom content, layouts, designs, branding and written materials are owned by VisualBloom and are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.
Some symbols incorporated into VisualBloom resources are licensed PCS (R) and Boardmaker (R) symbols from Tobii Dynavox. Rights in those symbols remain with their respective rights holders and they are used under the applicable licence.
VisualBloom resources are supplied for the purchaser's permitted personal use, as applicable. They must not be copied, reproduced, resold, redistributed or commercially exploited except where expressly permitted or with prior written permission.
Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of VisualBloom's intellectual property or any third-party licensed content to the purchaser.
Customer-Supplied Content
Where customers provide photographs, names, wording or other content for use in a personalised content for use in a personalised product, they are responsible for ensuring that they have the right or appropriate permission to provide that content to us for this purpose.
Customer-supplied information will be handled in accordance with out Privacy Policy.
Safety & Appropriate Use
VisualBloom resources must be used in accordance with their intended purpose and any safety or supervision guidance provided.
Customers should consider whether a particular product is appropriate for the individual who will use it, taking account of their individual needs, abilities and behaviours.

Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, or affects your statutory consumer rights.
VisualBloom is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from misuse of a product, use contrary to its intended purpose or guidance, or failure to provide appropriate supervision, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Our resources are designed as communication and everyday support aids and are not a substitute for professional assessment, advice or therapy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our products, services or legal requirements.
The terms applicable to an order will be those in effect when the order is placed.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales. Nothing in this section affects any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer in another part of the UK.
